search strings

people have reached this blog in strange ways… a majority of them via searches for me. and then another bunch searching for my sister, pooja. she’s become pretty famous all of a sudden, on account of being featured at film festivals in germany, spain and the rest of europe. i think. i really should keep in touch with her. and get her to send some clips to put up on her site. here’s one i found.

but a couple of strange searches have brought people here… abhishek bachhan with hair band (after all, that’s what this site is about…) and how to hack airtel recharge cards (i strive to provide useful information for everyone…)

and an update: i finally got back all those posts which disappeared while upgrading. the vox back-up really helped. up next: the missing comments.

seo what?

i subscribe to the google blog in my gmail webclips. here’s something interesting i saw today, their personalized searches. it’s not something new, but it should be cutting down drastically on the whole search engine optimization craze that’s going on. yes, pretty links are infinitely better as opposed to index.php?item=hg^%23465hjghy;p&45, but it would cut down on those hazaar sites out there which do nothing but build search engine oriented link farms. that’s one thing i hate, after domain squatters and lapse lurkers. when google started searching for your search query in unhyphenated parts of the url, it slowly started putting an end to those keyword-hyphenated-keyword.info sites.

seriously, if i wanted too look at a page full of links that lead me to other parts of the same site, i’d just surf porn. hmmm… so that’s why i surf porn. interesting.

there is still hope in this world. maybe i won’t kill myself after all. maybe i should retitle this post “google saved my life” and they’d put it in their testimonials page.
